The Lily whose petals count 6 is steadfast, stubborn, rooted to her heartbeat home. Whether Asiatic, Oriental or True, no label will stop her bloom for she the Lily is the light-bringer, the sun in every room. Bold, never shy, she boasts her vibrant colours. Willing and dependable she will bend, never break, for her sisters, her companions, nestled so close, no matter whether bulb or blossom. Potted she will thrive for she knows her worth, no validation does she seek from others. She the Lily keeps her garden pruned, her circles small, weeds ripped from the ground at her feet, no time does she have for the unworthy. Lovers flock to her fragrance, sweet citrus she sprouts from her centre. She the Lily will cower in cold darkness, sunlight Summer warmth she craves to flourish, she bathes in its harsh rays. She lives in fabulous stripes of gold, orange, red, yet praised in her nudity, stem and petals porcelain white. Known not for purity, perfection, she the Lily is grown again, and again, each year, and each year she flowers more brilliantly than the last.
